We will be finishing out our seedling sales this Saturday, May 17, 10 am – 4 pm at Gardenology in Geneva. Look for our booth on the east side of the Kane Co. courthouse, just off of 3rd St. between James and Campbell.
Come early for best selection! We’ll have tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squashes, lettuce, kale, chard, basil and other herbs, plus much more.
We encourage those of you who are new to our posts to peruse last year’s gardening tips, starting with deflowering and pruning tomatoes. We also have info about supporting tomatoes, fertilizers and compost teas and controlling aphids – an issue when spring is cool and wet. We’ll start posting fresh tips starting in late May.
We hope to host a couple more gardening classes this season, including one focused on harvesting and another on season extension. If you have ideas for other classes you’d like us to teach, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
