To date we have planed the following in the field: storage and green bunching onions, leeks, kale, collard greens, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, fennel, swiss chard, sweet potatoes, red and yellow potatoes, carrots, beets, snap and shelling peas, radishes, salad turnips, salad mix, green beans, spinach, dill, and cilantro.
The hoop house is quickly filling up with tomatoes (10 heirloom and non-heirloom varieties), peppers, eggplants, lettuces, cucumbers, and summer squash. We expect to plant cabbage, green and purple bok choi, and another succession of broccoli planted in the field this week.
Join us Saturday, May 15th, 10am – 4pm for Geneva’s Gardenology. Our booth will be on the lawn of the courthouse in downtown Geneva (S. Third St.). We’ll have vegetable and hopefully herb seedlings for sale. Come by and say hi!
The farm stand is progressing nicely. The roof will likely be on this week. We expect to have some veggies and vegetable seedlings (such as tomatoes, peppers, kale, basil and more) available for sale starting Saturday, May 22nd.
Our 2010 CSA has sold out! We’ve started a waiting list if anyone would like to be added.
